Learning Matters’ member section and newsletter system requires a password to access the membership and subscription management pages. For the convenience of users, Learning Matters offers the opportunity to be “remembered,” by the system so a password is only required on the first access. Asking to be “remembered” by clicking the “remember me” or similar dialog box when asked places a permanent cookie on the user’s machine. Learning Matters’s system never places a permanent cookie on the users machine unless a user specifically makes this request.
