Michelle Rhee loves Mayor Adrian Fenty. She loves him so much that she’s risked her impartial position as DC schools chancellor to campaign for Fenty’s mayoral reelection, and has threatened (in so many words) to quit if Fenty doesn’t win. Some say she’s crossed the line and violated rules against electioneering. Accusations have even been made that she’s violated something called the Hatch Act that is meant to prevent such campaigning.
Is Rhee unfairly campaigning for Fenty? Or merely speaking her mind?
