Editor’s Note: Since the taping of this podcast, Kraus has actually accepted a job leading a different education technology initiative. But … the core of the discussion still stands!

Mary Kraus is a Program Manager of Technology Services in the Lemon Grove School District; in the last half-decade, Lemon Grove has embraced interactive classroom technologies powered by Promethean.

In this interview, Kraus — who has decades of experience as an educator — talks about those approaches, their effects on student achievement, and some broader issues in education, including the pros and cons of the current public education model in America.
