WATCH: Arts Education

Our nation is focused on common standards in math and reading, but what about the arts?  Are schools required to teach music, drama, dance and the visual arts? The answer depends on where you live. Equal access to arts instruction is the law in North Carolina, but as we learned, that’s no guarantee.
